Detroit techno pioneer “Mad” Mike Banks is linking with industry veteran and nightclub owner Dimitri Hegemann to collaborate on a two-day event focusing on the unique relationship between Detroit and Berlin.
The event, which has been dubbed The Potential, is being labeled as a “subcultural exchange for urban development” and is set to take place on June 9 and 10 at Tresor.
The Potential will host a workshop presented by Mike Huckaby in partnership with Native Instruments, as well as a panel discussion on how art can influence the discourse around political changes, with Banks and Hegemann joined by various industry professionals.
June 9 will feature a club night with Underground Resistance presents Depth Charge, the collaborative project from Banks and Mike Flash. The line-up also includes Blake Baxter, DJ Skurge, Scott Grooves, Basic Soul Unit and more.
