A 25- year-old British man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in relation to a stabbing that took place during the Hideout Festival in Croatia this week.
The unnamed suspect was reportedly attempting to flee the country at an airport in the coastal town of Split on Thursday, the interior minister Davor Bozinovic said according to Sky News.
The arrest follows an incident on the Croatian island of Pag at the Kalypso club (pictured above), when a fight broke out on Wednesday, which lead to the death of a 26-year-old British man who was stabbed.
Two others were also injured during the fight, one of which was stabbed five times and is currently in critical condition. He is being treated at a local hospital. Edi Karuc, deputy director of a hospital in nearby Zadar, said “his life is in danger.”
In total, seven people were detained in relation to the brawl.
