Legendary London venue The Social wants to lift £95,000 in simply two weeks or face risk of closure.
Following a long-running and profitable membership night time by Heavenly Information within the ’90s, the label opened The Social on Little Portland Avenue in West London in 1999. Since then, they’ve performed host to the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Florence & The Machine, Beck, Jack White, Vampire Weekend, The Horrors, Doves, Lily Allen, Aphex Twin, Tremendous Furry Animals, Disgrace and lots of, many extra.
Because the venue’s 20th anniversary approaches, they’ve now launched a crowdfunding marketing campaign to urgently elevate cash to stop redevelopment. Find more info here.
