There is probably no fan of electronic music that hasn’t heard of “Insomnia”. Track produced by British band Faithless, released as their second single, became the most successful. It was released in 1995 and became a hit in Dance Charts and on dancefloors around the globe. More recently “Insomnia” was voted by Mixmag readers as one of the greatest dance records of all time.
First pack of remixes was released just two years after including the version of their own Sister Bliss and Armand Van Helden, and more recently you may have been familiar with the unsuccessful remix Avicci did that backfired. But this time, new version comes with a soul!
Straightly from the kitchen of Andrew Meller. Know previously by his remix of Underworlds’ ”Born Slippy” that you can still hear rocking in the sets of scene’s greatest Carl Cox, Nicole Moudaber and more, Meller scored official release of his version of legendary track giving it new glow.
We are sure the track will find it’s way to dancefloors all around the globe as you can hear a classic boosted with techno and techy elements.
Stream ‘Andrew Meller – Insomnia’ below and pre-order here, it’s out this Friday, January 19th on Glasgow Underground.
