On October 20th 2017, the influential Life And Death label returns to the Amsterdam Dance Event for a big showcase featuring many of its key acts and close musical friends. The label founder DJ Tennis will be joined by Awanto 3, Gerd Janson, Honey Soundsystem, Jackmaster, Jennifer Cardini, Lucy, Leon Vynehall, Marvin & Guy, Margot, Red Axes and The/Das amongst more exciting names.
All this is to take place at the much loved outdoor venue Thuishaven, so when you add in some special production, crazy dancers, immersive lights and a killer sound system, you have a real recipe for a magical might of music.
Life And Death is one of the most essential labels of the day. Focussing on mature and musical sounds that have a real emotional impact as well as infectious underlying grooves, the label has put out a number of trendsetting hits. It is run by DJ Tennis, the cultured Italian who is about to put out his double disc DJ Kicks mix, and is also about to put out another project from The Das, who mix up emotive house and techno into proper songs that are organic, supple and supervise.
Both of those acts play this party, as will many other artists who have released on the label recently, such as techno man Lucy, Joakim, who released his Deamon EP with the label last year, plus Marvin & Guy who are still riding high of the success of their recent Superior Conjunction EP. On top of this are Margot, eclectic Running Back label boss Gerd Jansen, Awanto 3, the inventive Dekmantel and Rush Hour producer, plus electro specialist and Correspondent boss Jennifer Cardini and Scottish party starter Jackmaster.
Anyone who enjoyed the excellent Life And Death showcase in Barcelona will be glad to hear that the Gommage DJ team and soulful house star Leon Vynehall, raw house producer Moscoman and synth and guitar lovers Red Axes will also come together once more in Amsterdam. Last but not least, the fun loving American crew Honey Soundsystem, who run three key labels in Dark Entries, Discaire, and HNYTRX, complete this huge line-up.
As far as a showcase go, this party is sure to offer a widescreen window into the unique musical world of Life And Death.
