The DJ was found dead in Miami Beach on the morning of September 1 according to TMZ.
The reasons for his death have not yet been confirmed.
Morillo’s death comes just under a month after he was arrested and charged with sexual battery on a woman.
The New York-born DJ initially denied the accusation against him but handed himself in after a rape kit tested positive for his DNA.
Morillo became a superstar DJ in the 90s thanks to hits like ‘I Like To Move It’ and recorded under a number of aliases including The Dronez, RAW and Real 2 Real.
