A drugs gang managed to smuggle more than 300kg of cocaine and heroin into the UK after hiding it in chickens. Nazarat Hussain, 36, and Wasim Hussain, 34, who are not related, were jailed for more than 40 years at Birmingham Crown Court on Thursday after they were found guilty of conspiring to import class A drugs. The men, who were members of an international gang, set up fake companies in the UK and sent deliveries of chicken from the Netherlands with the drugs hidden inside. The shipments were set up by Nazrat Hussain, who made regular trips over to the Netherlands to meet Dutch suppliers. The National Crime Agency (NCA) caught the gang after intercepting two shipments of chicken meat stuffed with drugs.
