DEAS has been building his music profile following excellent EPs on Abstract Division’s Dynamic Reflection, Marco Bailey’s MATERIA and legendary Dutch label Planet Rhythm, as he continues to impress with his expertly crafted dance floor weapons. Rotterdam’s Triple Vision is the distributor of Bau Muzik who look after labels like Bas Mooy’s Mord, Dax J’s Monnom Black and Emmanuel’s ARTS.

“Screenshot” begins with a pulsing rhythm that sits under gritty, sweeping synths made of an electrified texture, manifesting into a huge dance floor weapon. The second track, titled “Construction” has a strong and rolling groove, while allowing delayed sounds and accents to add character like an imminent thunderstorm. Third up is the title track “Form Follow Function” that’s bursting with a flowing energy from its stomping beat and droning tones that bend and morph, creating a hypnotic hook.

Closing the EP is “Paradox” that focuses on a slightly more jackin’ beat with highlights made of piano-style stabs before the break adds intensity with its powerful crescendo.
