ReBoot Prague returns to the fold with a bold new offering via it’s hard hitting Black label with London based DJ / producer Cameron Jack, who’s starting to make a name for himself in the underground circuit with his varied sound that pushes the boundaries of dance music.
Influenced by the original House scene of Chicago, Cameron’s vast knowledge of the genre can be seen in his diverse DJ sets as well as his original productions. His own style of deep Balearic Techno draws inspiration from artists such as Maceo Plex, Solomun and Tale of Us.
Kicking things off on the EP is ‘The Spare’, a dark, warehouse, four to the floor offering with peak time feel. Punchy kicks lay the foundations whilst haunting, atmospheric vocals add depth and emotion. Powerful leads cut through from time to time, providing extra vigour and intensity, over a buzzing & energetic bassline that coarses through the arrangement. Elsewhere on the EP ‘How Much Time’, provides an earthier and more atmospheric experience. Anologue, grainy synthetics provide an edgy & dynamic contrast over deep, more cushioned kicks as do the well placed claps which crunch their way into the mix before melting back into the depths.
EP is out and you can purchase it on Beatport.
