Except their is nothing Flat about this beat. While Cowboys Are Consistent moves with a more sideways, deeper and more unhurried territory.
The remixes stretch the material without losing its charm. Variable Self twists Alien Squat into a stranger, more elastic-dub shape while Slow Assembly takes Cowboys Are Consistent into a territory with a touch of the Big Beat about it. The result feels like a forgotten late-’90s Ninja Tune twelve-inch pulled from a dusty bag with all the strange, groovy and quietly addictive quality you would expect.
