Police were called to help break up a huge rave inside a house in South Norwood on Sunday evening (December 10) which is reported to have been attended by as many as 500 people.
The party took place in an unoccupied terraced house on Belmont Road and started at about 8pm on Saturday (December 9).
To neighbours’ disbelief, music was being played for about 24 hours before the bash was finally brought to an end.
A Belmont Road resident, who wanted to remain anonymous, said she saw speakers “in every room” of the property during the “out-of-control” party, as well as a sound system and marquee in the back garden and bouncers at the front door.
And while the crowd was having fun, local resident also posted on social media that he had heard “screaming and a gunshot” coming from inside the property after the police arrived at “about 8pm”.
