Maurizio Cascella “Disegno 2” Reworks on Concrete Records

Concrete Records is an Italian label based in Rome that has seen contributions from Voices From the Lake, Minilogue, Svreca, Samuli Kemppi, Echologist aka Brendon Moeller, Cassegrain, Tensal, and many more, with many releases gaining multiple represses.

Concrete co-founder, Maurizio Cascella, delivers a new chapter centred around his track “Disegno 2,” a work that unfolds through reinterpretation rather than expansion. As a producer, he includes works in collaboration with Dino Sabatini on his Outis Music imprint, and Fabrizio Lapiana on Attic Music.

Luigi Tozzi is an artist from Rome who lets his music do the talking, having released on labels such as Psyk’s Non Series, Abstract Division’s Dynamic Reflection, Sweden’s Hypnus, Emmanuel’s ARTS, and collaborating with masters such as Claudio PRC and Dino Sabatini.

Francesco Pierguidi, also from Rome, makes a rare return to production after including his music on Leo Anibaldi’s Cannibald, Mitten, and Festina Lente.

Psyk is the magical Madrid-based producer and Non Series label head. His music can be found on treasured imprints such as Tresor Records, Luke Slater’s Mote Evolver, Len Faki’s Figure, Svreca’s Semantica, and he has collaborated with peers like Reeko, ORBE, and Pascual.

“Disegno 2” has a restrained, hypnotic framework, with reduced elements, controlled dynamics, and a steady sense of internal movement. It acts less as a statement and more as a system, which is open, functional, and deliberately unresolved.

Psyk approaches the material with precision and density, reinforcing its internal pressure. His version tightens the rhythmic structure, introducing a more direct and physical energy while preserving the track’s underlying abstraction.

Francesco Pierguidi moves in a different direction, focusing on subtraction and tonal space. His rework expands the atmospheric dimension, allowing fragments to breathe and reorganise, creating a more introspective and suspended interpretation.

Luigi Tozzi delivers two distinct readings. ‘The Spiral Mix’ leans into his signature deep and immersive approach, stretching the original into a fluid, evolving structure where rhythm and texture merge gradually.

Alongside it, an additional ‘Rephase’ version will be available as a digital bonus via download code included in the vinyl. It provides an alternative perspective that further deconstructs and reassembles the source material.
