Summer might be over but there are still plenty of amazing festivals to explore over winter.

Here we look at 10 of the best of them in all sorts of amazing locations.

MDL

Dec 1st – 3rd
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The MDL Beasts team has been transforming the musical landscape in the Middle East. They have their own label and a monstrous festival with no expense spared, hundreds of super sized names and stages designed to blow the mind. Keep your eyes peeled for line-ups.

SXM

March 8 – 12 2023
Happy Bay, St Martin

With the whole island’s infrastructure having been rebuilt after a devastating hurricane, SXM hosts stages on beaches and jungle clearings, and they are truly breathtaking. Draped in magical fauna, you can swim in nearby jungle clearings and partake in sunset parties, villa parties, and more. All are stunning ways to have fun in this bit of Caribbean paradise with music from house and techno greats like Marco Carola, Raresh, Danny Tenaglia, DJ Tennis, Dubfire and more in the past.

Timewarp

28-29 October
Germany

The ultimate techno experience often comes at the hand of the Timewarp team. They know how to throw a proper party on a proper scale and this year it happens across two nights of unrivalled excellence in Mannheim, the festival’s spiritual home. Richie Hawtin, Solomun, Maceo Plex, Sven Vath, Adam Beyer, Kobosil, Loco Dice and tens more are to play this year.

Terminal V

Oct 29th
Edinburgh, Scotland

There is no bigger party in Scotland, nor the UK, and maybe even Europe that Terminal V. The monster rave brings tens of thousands of people to the Royal Highland Centre across various rooms and stages. Heavyweight names all play with next level production. Do not miss as this year Richie Hawtin, Reinier Zonneveld (live), Loco Dice, Fjaak (Live), Ellen Allien, Camelphat, Mind Against, Klankuenstler, Mama Snake, Nicole Moudaber and many more play.

Art with me Miami

Nov 26th – 27th

This is a mix of wellness, art, music and more, It boasts Local and International Gastronomic Gatherings, Visual Art Installations, Large-scale Art Pieces, Renowned Photographers and Interactive Exhibitions, Children’s Programs and Ecological Awareness Practices, Thought-Provoking Panels and Discussions, and much more with names like Birds of Mind, Maga, Isiah Martin, Ameme and more last year.

Groove Cruise

Jan 19th – 23rd
Miami, FL

This floating rave at sea is unreal. The cruise liner it happens on is mind bogglingly big with all manner of water sports, cinemas screens, casinos, restaurants, bars and clubs as well as pools on the deck. Tens of amazing acts all soundtrack it from across the worlds of bass, house and techno so do not miss this once in a lifetime trip.

Ocaso

Jan 5th – 9th 2023
Tamarindo, Costa Rica

The location for this one is breathtaking in the beautiful Costa Rica so that alone is reason enough to go. But so too the fact it has one stage and offers one artists at a time to really allow them to shine in fort of a devoted audience. Look out for this year’s headliners soon.

Set Mexico

28th Oct – 1st Nov
Mexico

SET Mexico’s first event saw 2,000 dancers surrounded by the vibrant colours and rich cultures of Oaxaca. Now it is back once again as SET Underground bring their famous production and curation team to one of the most beautiful cities in Mexico. It happens over Dia de los Muertos aka the famous day of the dead festival with names like Adam Ten, Damon Jee, Denis Horvat, Dramian, Frankey and Sandrino, Gab Rhome, Glowal, Jan Blomqvist, Kawas and more.

Rakastella

Dec 1st
Miami, FL

Last year’s line up featured Ben UFO, Jayda G, Eris Drew, Octo Octa, DJ Harvey who all played multiple stages that all had their own unique visual identity. The oceanside event comes from Life and Death and Innervisions and is about love for music, love for one another, love for exotic locations.

Rebel Rave

8th of Oct
Brussels

The line up for this one day techno celebration is second to none. It happens for the first time across two rooms at the vast Expo centre in Brussels, Belgium with out of this world production. Playing will be Paula Temple, Mall Grab, Ellen Allien, Solomun, Héctor Oaks, Joris Voorn and more.
